The Door is Ajar

Today, I was tempted

My pain whispered

Agony uttered

Forget about God and His plan

Besides, It’s just too hard

Itemizing all the demands

Until the Spirit reminded me

The last time I fell for this trickery

Slowly fading, dying quietly

Spiritual death came quickly

So I rebuked the voice

And peace filled the space

You see, I had a choice

I ran- seeking His face

 Regardless of the opposition

Daddy, I’m here to stay

Bowed down, in position

Surely, the battle is Yours

I am still and You are God

The One who opens my doors
