Wasted Energy

Dizzy, tossed into a tizzy because I spent all of my energy

Wrestling this rascal is such a hassle to me

Often distraught, I’ve been taught to aerobicize my faith

Nevertheless, fed up with foolishness in any case

I’ll take this and that to the Master, surely He will referee

To my relief, from this grief, My God provided the victory

As I verbalize and strategize- watching my destiny materialize

Looking, daringly and intently into the enemy’s eyes

His bravado and fierce veneer fades away

The remainder is a fallen angel, grossly defeated on any day

Yet, I once let him huff and puff and blow down my fort

But his arguments are arbitrary and cannot stand in God’s court

Besides, he files charges against me just for sport

Knowing that when the trial is over his fate is the same

Yet he vows to snatch away those who determine to stand in Jesus name

With strength embraced, flint is my face as I put Satan in His place

My belief is evident when his words are irrelevant, peace is heaven sent

Yahweh, yesterday into tomorrow; give me joy for sorrow, my faith is intelligent

Smartly seeking the true Source; when I am exhausted help me to stay on course

Meaninglessly, fighting with my own ability; I was married to futility, I filed for divorce

Any time we spend trying to fight Satan in our own strength is WASTED ENERGY!

This poem gives you an idea why!
